About Dr. Sharon Stowe-Myer.

Sharon Stowe-Myer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the states of Washington and Oregon. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Nationally Certified Group Psychotherapist. She has been a mental health therapist for 20 years and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

She earned her doctorate degree in psychology in 2012. The central focus of her dissertation was on the human attention and memory systems, and how processing deficits in these systems affect our view of ourselves, other people, and the world in general.






She received extensive training in cognitive and behavioral therapies, DBT, working memory training, and learning evaluations. She has training in assisting people to set up accommodations for school, work and life to compensate for any deficits due to ADHD, brain injury or illness, or other issue that causes cognitive decline. She has also received training in Neurofeedback and Therapeutic Journaling.

Sharon has been working with an animal assist therapist since 1996. Currently her animal assist partner, and general employee of the month is Klaus the German Shepherd
